Boyolali  The District of Boyolali lies on the low ranges of mount Merapi and mount Merbabu, giving the natural beauty of the area. The International Airport Sumarmo is within Boyolali region and is only 25 Km from the city of Solo. Dairy milk is the main product of Boyolali. The people are known to be friendly as reflected in their official motto “Boyolali Tersenyum”, an acronim of order, beautiful, neat, healthy, and comforting to the public. Boyolali district is one of the 35 district in the souther part of Central Java Province. Located at 110°22' - 110° 50' East and 7°36' - 7°71' South. From east to west is 48 Km wide and north to south is 54 Km long. The district consists of 19 subdisrict, 263 village and 4 hamlet. Most villages are living in the lowland (83%) and the remainings in the highland. The borders of Boyolali district are as follows: a. North: Grobogan and Semarang b. East: Karanganyar, Sragen, Sukoharjo. c. South: Klaten, Yogyakarta Special Region. d. West: Magelang, Semarang. Boyolali elevation is 75-1,500 meter above sea level. Elevation 100 meter above sea level is Wonosegoro, Kemusu and Juwangi; while elevation over 1,000 meters above sea level is at Musuk, Cepogo, Ampel and Selo. Boyolali is devided into main 4 ecosystem area: * Slope of Mount Merbabu. The eastern area, covering most of Ampel subdistrict. * Slope of mount Merapi. Extending in the eastern area in Selo, Cepogo and Musuk. * Lowland. Lower area of Boyolali including Boyolali, Mojosongo, Teras, Banyudono, Sawit, Sambi, Nogosari and Ngemplak. * Mountainous region.
