Gunung Kidul  Gunung Kidul district lies on 110°21’ - 110°50’ East and 7°46’ - 80°9’ South. Gunung Kidul is part of the Yogyakarta Special Region and approximately 45 Km south east of Yogyakarta. Gunung Kidul is made up of 18 sub district and 144 villages with an area of 1.495 Km square or 46,36% of the total Yogyakarta Special Region area. Most of Gunung kidul are highland on the Sewu (thousand) mountain range. Gunung Kidul has natural beauty unlike any other place. The highland provides cool fresh air, while the beaches are warm and sunny. The forest and historical sites is a different experience to discover. Wonosari is the capital of Gunung Kidul.
