Profil  JAVAPROMO is a brand name of a Promotion Board, a cooperation of of 15 districts and cities in Central Java and Yogyakarta Special Region all located not far from Borobudur temple. The 15 members of the Board are: Bantul, Boyolali, Gunungkidul, Kebumen, Klaten, Kulon Progo, Magelang, city of Magelang, Sleman, Purworejo, Temanggung, Wonosobo, city of Yogyakarta, Karanganyar and Semarang. All are located in central Java and connected through extensive network of main highway and smaller roads. They also share the cultural heritage of Mataram kingdom fom past centuries. This makes central Java a great destination for domestic and international tourist looking for unique experiences. Borobudur which is one of the 7 wonders of th world is the main showcase of JAVAPROMO. Built during 8 century BC, it is the paramount in Budhist temple technology. The grandeur of the temple is a monument of Javanese high culture, designed to blend with the surrounding natural beauty. Not surprising, Borobudur is the “icon” of JAVAPROMO.
